Privacy Policy
The privacy policy outlines how this website collects and uses information about visitors. The statement contains information that you are entitled to when information is collected from our website (Personal Data Act § 19), as well as general information about how we process personal data (Personal Data Act § 18, 1st paragraph).
The legal owner of the website is responsible for the processing of personal data related to the business. It is voluntary for visitors to provide personal information in connection with services such as receiving newsletters and using the sharing and tip services. The legal basis for processing is consent from the individual unless otherwise specified.
1. Web Analytics and Cookies
As an important part of creating a user-friendly website, we analyze the browsing patterns of visitors. To analyze this information, we use the Google Analytics tool.
Google Analytics uses cookies (small text files that the website stores on the user’s computer) to record the users’ IP address and provide information about their movements on the web. Examples of the information obtained through this statistical analysis include the number of visits to different pages, the duration of visits, the websites from which users arrive, and the browsers they use. None of the cookies allow us to associate information about your use of the website with you as an individual.
The information collected by Google Analytics is stored on Google servers in the United States. The received information is subject to Google’s privacy policy.
An IP address is considered personal data as it can be traced back to specific hardware and thus an individual. We use Google Analytics’ tracking code, which anonymizes the IP address before the information is stored and processed by Google. Therefore, the stored IP address cannot be used to identify the individual user.
2. Search
If the website has a search function, information about the search terms used by users is stored in Google Analytics. The purpose of this storage is to improve our information offerings. The usage patterns for searches are stored in aggregated form. Only the search terms are stored, and they cannot be linked to other user information, such as IP addresses.
3. Sharing/Tips Service
The “Share with others” function can be used to forward links to the website via email or to share content on social networks. Information about tips is not logged by us but is only used at that moment to post the tip on the social network. However, we cannot guarantee that the social network does not log this information. Therefore, all such services should be used with caution. If you use the email function, we only use the provided email addresses to forward the message without any form of storage.
4. Newsletter
The website may send out newsletters via email if you have registered to receive them. To send emails, you need to provide an email address. Mailchimp is the data processor for the newsletter. The email address is stored in a separate database, not shared with others, and is deleted when you unsubscribe. The email address is also deleted if we receive feedback indicating that it is not active.
5. Registration and Forms
The website may have registration forms, contact forms, or other forms. These forms are made available to the public to perform the tasks they are intended for.
Registration forms are for visitors to sign up or register.
Contact forms allow visitors to easily send a message to the website’s contact person.
We ask for the name of the submitter and contact information. The personal information we receive is only used to respond to the inquiry and not for any other purpose.
Forms are sent as emails via Mailgun as a third-party solution. The entire submission is stored at Mailgun for 24 hours. Between 24 hours and 30 days, only the email header is retained before the submission is deleted after 30 days. This storage is intended to confirm whether emails are sent from the website and forwarded to the correct recipient
.
Once the email is received by the recipient, it is up to them to determine the need for data processing of the email.
6. Page and Service Functionality
Cookies are used in the operation and presentation of data from websites. These cookies may contain information about the language code selected by the user. They may also include cookies with information that supports the system’s load balancing to ensure the best possible user experience. For services that require login or search functionality, cookies may be used to ensure that the service presents data to the correct recipient.
